System Specifications:

Attention Microsoft Vista Users: Be aware that you must have Adobe Flash Player 10 on your computer to view AREA's online courses. To download the free version of Flash Player 10 go to http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and follow the Debugger instructions. PC minimum requirements to use this course are:
  • Pentium-based processor (1 Ghz recommended)
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Microsoft Windows 98 or better
  • Graphics display of 800X600 at 16 bit colour (65,536 colours)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or better
  • High Speed Internet Connection

Mac Users minimum requirements to use this course are:
  • Macintosh (G3 or better recommended)
  • 256 MB RAM
  • OSX or better
  • Graphics display of 800X600 at 16 bit colour (65,536 colours)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or better
  • High Speed Internet Connection
Please note: AREA online courses require the latest version of the free Adobe/Macromedia Flash Player. If you do not have the latest version, please click here to obtain it before proceeding.
 
Monitor Specifications:
The course is best viewed at 800 X 600 screen resolution.

Most monitors have been set up to default to this resolution.
To change your monitor settings, View Control Panel>Display>Properties>Setting. The screen area slide bar should be set at 800 X 600. Click OK. (Note: your monitor and display adapter determine whether you can change your screen resolution.)

Larger resolutions such as 1024 X 768 are acceptable as well. Smaller resolutions such as 640 X 480 are also acceptable on some computers.
